Dreams Coming True!

The Book is here!
Well almost here…All the writing, editing and organizing the cover and photos is complete and is in the hands of the publisher. My plan is to have it available the first week of December, I hope and pray that is the plan for the printer as well! We have several book signing events already scheduled in Michigan and am open to more. If you are interested in helping to create a Mrs. Kelly’s Journey Home Book Event – just send me a note and I will do my best to make it happen. Here’s my email address: Breeda@Breedamiller.com
Book signing events
They are pretty simple events. We just need a space with a few tables (for the books and me) and chairs, for the audience and a microphone if the space holds more than 50 people. I will do a short presentation (about 30 minutes) with readings from the book, bits from the show and time for Q & A. Then I sign the books that folks have purchased. We all go home and read!
Here’s what’s planned already:

If you’d like to order a book online you will be able to order via my website (BreedaMiller.com) and on Amazon – soon. My preference is to purchase books from local bookstores or from in-person events. I will have a list of local bookstores that will be carrying the book soon.

The PBS Broadcast!
I’m getting bruises from pinching myself. It’s really happening. As a test, DetroitPBS will broadcast the entire play, on Monday, December 16 at 8 pm. Harkening back to the early days of television, with the series, Playhouse 90, it’s a special event and hope that it leads to more people being able to see and enjoy this wonderful program. During intermission and after the end of the play I will be interviewed, so please stay tuned to the very end. Also, you can help spread the word and tell your friends and family to tune in. If you are a DetroitPBS supporter you will be able to see the show on the the PBS Passport streaming service.
Several people have asked if I was worried that if people can see the show for free on DetroitPBS if might hurt ticket sales for live performances. I don’t think so. I think the awareness and publicity will only improve attendance and interest in this show. More importantly, this broadcast will bring this play and its many messages of love, family, and the support of caregivers to audiences who might never have the opportunity to see a live performance. I am just so very grateful. If you are able to watch it on December 16 please be sure to let DetroitPBS know if you enjoyed it and support this type of programming. Every phone call, email or donation will help support future broadcasts of Mrs. Kelly’s Journey Home. Maybe even at other PBS stations. Let’s wait and see what happens on December 16.
2025 Performances (so far)
- Sunday, February 2, 3:30 pm. The Gaelic League, 2068 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI 48216. In honor of St. Brigid’s Day – a special matinee performance. This is where my parent’s story in Detroit all began.
- Friday & Saturday March 29/30. Chicago’s Gaelic Park 6119 147th St. Oak Forest, IL 60452
- Friday and Saturday, May 9 & 10. Penn Theatre, 760 Penniman Ave, Plymouth, MI 48170. A special Mother’s Day Tradition.
